StarDome Experiences
Cooking class
Description: Enhance your cooking skills and bring some Peruvian culture to your own home! Peru has repeatedly been awarded South America’s Leading Culinary Destination, and your experience is not complete without a taste of its various national dishes. But with a cooking class at StarDome, you’ll also be able to recreate that experience in your own home. It’s not as simple as you might think to make a Peruvian dish. Age-old knowledge is passed down not only about how to prepare each component but also of how each component’s source. The high altitude changes the way that dishes are made. StarDome is lucky that our very own head chef, Angela, has spent most of her life learning the proper way to prepare fresh Peruvian food. A class with her is a piece of culture that you can carry with you long after you leave the country
Enhance your cooking skills and bring a bit of Peru home with you! Classic Peruvian dishes might seem easy to make but outsiders hardly know the tricks of the trade. Age-old knowledge has been passed down not only about how to prepare each component but also of how each component affects the dish. StarDome is lucky that our very own head chef, Angela, has spent most of her life learning the ins and outs of preparing such dishes. After a class with her, you’ll have the knowledge and skills you need to add a taste of Peru (pun-intended) to your own cooking.
Peruvian food has become world-renowned. But there’s nothing more authentic than learning how to make it by indigenous Peruvians who have spent their lives learning about the proper components in their native growth places. The altitude affects how plants grow, and stardome is at an altitude at which some of these dishes originated. There are certain techniques that Peruvians pass down through generations to make their national dishes. Our head chef, Angela, has spent most of her life learning the proper way to prepare food grown and harvested in Peru.

Garden tour
Description: Our guests often taste and even feel the difference that StarDome’s fresh produce has on their overall well-being. Much of it comes straight from the gardens surrounding StarDome itself. The land is not only rich with minerals, but also with a cultural history. Our landscapers, like many agriculturalists in the Sacred Valley, hand-grow each crop with techniques and knowledge that their ancestors have passed down for thousands of years. The garden tour is a unique opportunity to learn more specifically what produce we grow, its medicinal properties, and the process each plant takes to make it to your table.
